John Idewyn 15 Oct: 1456 — by Do

By his Will dated 20 Mar: 1496 and provd 15 Apr 1497 he directed to be buried in the Chancel of the Church of St Michael at Berton and gave to the high Altar 3s 4d and legacies to the Lights of St Michael, The holy Trinity, The light on the Rode loft, The light of our Lady, and the light of St Christpoher, & gave to the repr of the Church 20s, to the Guild of St Michl there 6s. 8d. To the Guild of our Lady there 3s. 4d, to the Guild of St Thomas there 3s. 4d and ordered that a priest shd be found to celebrate for his Soul one year in Berton Church and made Willm Gurnay of Irsted Gentlemn Supervisor.
