According to Anthony Norris, Philip Lewgar purchased the lease of Kybalds Manor in 1561 and the estate of George Knightley in 1563. He subsequently sold his estates to John Edrich of Scottow in 1568, who in turn sold them and the lease of Kybalds manor to John Baispoole in 1573.
