Methodist Chapel
Main Menu.

The small chapel was first built in 1845 near the centre of the village. It was rebuilt in 1914. There is seating for 60 people.  A history of the chapel was written in 1945 by Nancy Cook, sister of John Yaxley, based on information from 96 year old Mrs R. Canham, grandmother of John and Nancy.

John Yaxley’s A Jam Round Barton Turf also contains an account of the chapel’s history and that of the Sunday School associated with it.
